I have had a growing interest in the hobby of photography, but with the birth of our first child, I have a feeling I am going to want to really expand my horizons regarding photography. This passion will no doubt focus on portrait lighting and photography as Addison grows.

Many of the tests I perform, and hopefully publish here, will be based on experimentation with different lighting methods.  I am a frequent visitor to both the Strobist website as well as that of the manufacturer of my first studio strobe, Alien Bees.  The editors there have spent years perfecting the art of strobe light photography with wonderful results.  I hope to be able to learn from them as well as myself.

This should be a fun and interesting photo journal that I hope will bring some others as much enjoyment as the building of the portfolio will bring to me.
